The French government issued a call for projects on four “digital challenges” as part of its economic stimulus package. One of the challenges is 3D printing. The goal of the call for projects is to promote open innovation between public- and private-sector organizations facing challenges around digital technology and innovative startups and SMBs to promote the emergence of radically different solutions to benefit all stakeholders.

Tenerrdis was instrumental in setting up the Printarch project. The cluster identified potential members for the interdisciplinary project consortium and made the necessary introductions, provided project management support, and helped determine the specific “digital challenges” to address. A total of three challenges were selected as part of the project (cement structures, complex molds, and multi-functional bricks, and the jury chose three of the nine candidates.
