A COST-EFFECTIVE SYSTEM
The BeeBryte project, spearheaded by the startup of the same name, will develop a smart battery that can be plugged in to electrical equipment like water heaters, air conditioners, sensors, and more to delay purchasing energy from the grid and, more generally, benefit from lower utility bills for the same energy usage. The BeeBryte system transforms traditional equipment into smart, connected equipment and can reduce energy bills by 15% to 40%.
BeeBryte is a unique smart-energy solution that can be used with all types of batteries and that responds to consumers’ actual energy needs while reducing energy spending and supporting enhanced grid stability.
ONLINE PLATFORM FOR MANAGING ENERGY PURCHASES
The BeeBryte project is developing an online (cloud-based) platform to manage the buffer capacity of batteries installed on BeeBryte customer equipment. Customers can use the platform to delay energy purchases and benefit from lower utility rates. The platform will also offer consumption forecasting and an advanced optimization algorithm. The target customers are typical utility customers (individual, commercial, industrial) seeking greater energy efficiency and lower energy bills without necessarily lowering their energy consumption. The technology will be expanded to the management of certain electrical equipment. For energy markets with real-time pricing structures, BeeBryte will leverage high-frequency energy trading capabilities. This will further augment the financial impacts for end customers.
