Officially launched on 2 April 2019, Hynamics, a 100% subsidiary of the EDF Group dedicated to the production and marketing of low-carbon hydrogen, aims to decarbonize the economy, including the two most CO2-emitting parts of mobility and industry.
By producing hydrogen from low-carbon water electrolysis and electricity, the EDF Group and its subsidiary Hynamics intend to pursue the goal of acting for the ecological transition.
The business model developed by Hynamics, which draws on the skills of the EDF Group, is an investor and operator/maintainer model. Hynamics invests in the production and distribution assets of electrolytic hydrogen that are housed in project companies, the latter selling hydrogen to customers holding fleets of hydrogen-powered vehicles as part of a mobility project.
